Burger Dude Issue #2

Originally released during the first quarter of this year, I remember I was particularly proud of the fact that the two stories were happening separately and then merge together on the last page. I'm not sure how I feel about how the crayons worked out on this one. It kinda gives it a blotched and uneven look. Oh well, enjoy!

Al Green Says "Peace Be With You""

Sometimes you just got to stop and think about how awesome Al Green is. In all likelihood, God sent Al Green to this world to tell the rest of us not to stop stressing out and start loving each other 'cuz everything is gonna be just smoooooth. I mean, he's pretty much the human incarnation of suavity and romance. Right?

Earlier this year I made a series of construction paper portraits with the hopes of selling them for $10 a pop and making a quick fortune. I'd hawk them on eBay or Etsy or what-have-you and settle into retirement at the ripe old age of twenty-three. But after I made this portrait of Al Green, I looked down into his squinting eyes and realized, this isn't what Al Green would want me to do. He wouldn't want me to be making money. He'd want me to be making love.

So thanks Al Green. For helping me get my life together. I hope you're doing well.

NY Food Diary

Now that I'm back in California, people are always asking me, "Hey Dylan, what kind of food you get out there in New York? I hear they've got some of the best eats in the world!" Luckily, I had the foresight to keep an illustrated food diary during my entire trip. But sadly, I left most of my notes back in the city. In fact only one day's worth of documented food journaling made it back to the West Coast. So, here's everything I ate on Dec. 4th, 2008.

Now most people think, "Yuck. How can you just eat boiled tusk and plain "manilla" all day? It just sounds so bland and unhealthy." Well rest assured dear readers, a quick dip of either of these NY delicacies into a bucket of Golden Blend™ brings their delicious flavors and naturally occuring anti-oxidants right out. A highly recommended diet.

I Love The Fun That We Have

I'd been to New York many times before, but never with friends.
